MY STORY

Hello, I’m Katie!

I’m a wife, mother to Harrison, Poppy, and Shepherd, and most importantly, a follower of Jesus. My youngest child, Shepherd, was diagnosed at 14 months old with an ultra-rare genetic disorder called GRIN2B related disorder and is severely physically and cognitively disabled.

Shepherd’s unexpected diagnosis and the reality of caring for a disabled family member has been by far, the hardest part of my life. It has also done more to refine my faith and intimately reveal to me the goodness of God than anything else ever has. Jesus is faithfully shepherding me through all the highs and lows this life has to offer. I invite you to follow along with our family’s story as I wrestle with hard questions, sift through messy feelings, share what God is teaching me, and strive to walk hand-in-hand with my Good Shepherd.
